DeAnna Seay Miller
M.A. MMFT (Marriage & Family Therapist)
DeAnna is a resident of Cherokee County and a native of Spartanburg County. Like many people, DeAnna was not raised in a perfect home. As a child she experienced a traumatic incident that altered her life and as young adult, she was able to work through this and understand the forgiveness that Christ commands of His believers. She attributes much of her emotional healing to the faith-based therapy she received. These positive experiences with therapy left a lasting impression on her and led to her calling to become a therapist herself.
DeAnna received her bachelor’s degree in biblical studies along with two master’s degrees (1) Human Service Marriage and Family and in May 2023 she received a Marriage and Family Therapy degree. Prior to her schooling and degrees, DeAnna has spent years coaching & counseling people.
DeAnna has also received training in Play Therapy techniques which she uses for her younger clients (ages 3-10). Play therapy strives to facilitate healing, as a therapist gains a deeper understanding of a child’s underlying issues by observing the child’s play, and assessing the interaction between child, their play, and therapist.
